Architecture in Perspective 27
The American Society of Architectural Illustrators announces the Call For Entries for Architecture in Perspective 27. This exhibit which in my opinion was responsible for the advancement of architectural illustration (now visualization).
Before the internet, this annual juried international exhibit and accompanying catalogue was the only way to see what the visual state of the profession was. The mostly sole practitioners rarely met each other and really had no way to discuss their artwork. By competing with each other, each artist went the year thinking about the images they saw at the previous year’s exhibit and were encouraged to better their own work. For the profession, that was a major turning point in the overall quality of work being produced.
By getting accepted into the exhibit, you will have an excellent marketing piece to share with the world, receive an award even better! One of the reasons that professional organizations exist is to give members awards and therefore a marketing opportunity. That is a great reason to join ASAI.
