Since l983 Rick has specialized in Architectural Illustration and provides a variety of presentation styles and formats for the design development community. Until the late 90’s Rick traditionally hand rendered in pencil, ink and particularly transparent watercolor. With the advent of digital technology Rick has used site photography and computer modeling to create photo-realistic simulations while utilizing his fine art background to produce dynamic images. Watercolor renderings are still requested, however, many projects can benefit from newer digital techniques. In addition, hand rendered images have been combined with site photography, edited and digitally enhanced for a unique image style. Presentation services also include site illustrations, interior renderings, and display models. Projects include everything from log cabins to high-rise office towers as well as a large number of Marina concepts. Rick’s most important objective is to produce presentations that communicate the character of a project and generate a positive dialogue between client and designer.
